 Las Vegas Golf Club is a hidden jewel of Vegas golf, and one of the oldest courses in the valley. It has always been a local favorite and now is frequented by visitors who are finding thetraditional layout to their liking. The course is a good value and fun to play. Wide fairways shadowed by majestic trees welcome golfers to the course. Reachable par 5s and three of the sternest finishing holes in the area make for an exciting round. Monte Money, a Vegas legend, fired a 58 on the course, the lowest course record of any par 72 course in Las Vegas. Annually, the course plays host to the Southern Nevada Golf Association`s Las Vegas City Amateur, a major event. The NIKE Golf Schools offer instruction. A lighted range is available, as is a recently remodeled clubhouse with restaurant.
Built in 1945 and designed by Casey O`Callaghan, this Flat,18 hole, Public course features many trees and bunkers. Golfers will face open fairways that feature Rye Grass turf and putting greens that feature Rye Grass turf. Most golf clubs in Las Vegas overseed their courses once a
year. During this approximately 2 week period the course is
closed. For a period of one to two weeks after overseeding,
course traffic is restricted to carts only. Aerification will
span a one to three day period. The course does not close for
aerification.
